Noxturnal CO2 report parts

Overview

The attached report parts (see below the article) are intended for users that are using TCO2 monitors (Sentec and Radiometer e.g.) during a Nox recording and want to extract summary information from the signals that have been recorded with Noxturnal.

The report parts contain an overview of the CO2 signal, position, pulse, and SpO2. Below the user will find summary tables based on different sleep stages and positions. The report parts can be easily modified or added to an existing report.

Select the report part based on what unit you would like to work with (mmHg or kPa*) and follow the instructions below to have them available for your customized reports.

This report will work for Noxturnal 4 and up.

Troubleshooting

What to do if there are no traces are appearing in the CO2 report part.

Step 1:

Verify that the recording you are viewing has some non-zero TCO2 signal parts.

Step 2:

Check if the Signal Groups contain the signal type of interest:

mmHg

  • Navigate to Tools -> Settings... -> Signal Types & Groups -> Signal Groups
  • Double click the CO2 Signal group
  • Verify that the CO2.Transcutaneous signal group is listed number 1 and the report part will work properly

kPa

  • Navigate to Tools -> Settings... -> Signal Types & Groups -> Signal Groups
  • Click OK
  • Verify that a CO2 Pascal Signal group is available
  • Double click the CO2 Pascal Signal Group
  • Make sure that the CO2.Transcutaneous-Pascal signal type to be number 1 and the report part will work properly

* Note that currently, the report system cannot scale the Pa value into kPa for the summary fields. Therefore they are listed in Pa
