Nox T3: Check Activity on Thorax and/or Abdomen Channels

The different functions of the Nox T3 can be tested in order to verify if the device is fully functional. The following test is to check activity on thorax and/or abdomen channels.

Items needed for test:

  • Computer with Noxturnal
  • Nox T3 Device
  • One AA Battery
  • RIP Belt

Test:

Setup a recording on the Nox T3 Device in Noxturnal

Insert AA battery and close the battery compartment
Push the Right Arrow button once, or until you see the respiratory signal screen:


Snap the RIP belts ends to the back panel of the device:

To check the thoracic RIP Belt, pull or stretch the thoracic belt just a little bit. Traces should be seen on the thoracic RIP Belt:



If a trace appears on the display of the device as shown in the figure above the channel is active but if it only shows a flat line as shown in the figure below when pulling the belt the channel is inactive and the device needs to be sent in for repair:


To check the abdomen RIP Belt, pull or stretch the abdomen belt just a little bit. Traces should be seen on the abdomen RIP Belt:

If the trace appears as a flat line when pulling the belt the channel is inactive and the device needs to be sent in for repair
