The Nox A1 recorder has various error codes built in. The intention is for the codes to help with servicing the recorder in the field. This article provides a list of the error codes and their effects.
| Error Code | Description | Action |
| Error 1 | Trying to program over BIOS | May happen during firmware upgrade. If this happens try to upgrade again. If unsuccessful then return device and send for repair. |
| Error 2 | Bad checksum in firmware upgrade | May happen during firmware upgrade. If this happens try to upgrade again. If unsuccessful then return device and send for repair. |
| Error 3 | Failed to program new firmware | May happen during firmware upgrade. If this happens try to upgrade again. If unsuccessful then return device and send for repair. |
| Error 4 | Firmware upgrade area bad | Return device for repair and servicing. |
