Compatibility matrix for Nox products and versions

The Nox products are intended to work in harmony, meaning that it is important that the Nox recorders are able to effectively record and communicate with Noxturnal and the C1 access point. To ensure continuous functionality of our products, we perform backwards compatibility testing each time a new product version is released. 

Although we always recommend using the latest product versions, we understand that some users are unable to run the latest versions of all products at all times. Therefore, we created this compatibility matrix which shows the minimum required versions of the Hardware (HW), Firmware (FW), and Software required for reliable operation of the Nox system. 

This compatibility matrix shows that the newest FW and HW devices are fully operational and compatible with older versions of Noxturnal and vice versa. This means, for example, that users can use HW 100 devices with FW 3.0.5 with Noxturnal 7.2 and they can also use HW 200 devices, with FW 3.1.2 with version 6.2.0 of Noxturnal. However, it is worth noting that for all new features, updates and improvements it is necessary to use the latest versions available.

Note: There is an issue running in-lab recordings with a combination of Hardware version 200, Firmware version 3.1.1 and Noxturnal versions 6.3.1 and 6.3.2. A work araound for this issue is either updating the firmware to version 3.1.2 or updating Noxturnal to version 7.0.0 or newer.
