This Release Bulletin announces the release of the following Noxturnal software and CDs

Noxturnal 7.2.1 introduces support for the Philips LoFlo EtCO₂ sensor, delivers important enhancements for the Nox Connect platform, and improves overall report stability while addressing several key issues. Additionally, this version streamlines the transition between the previous and updated report engines, ensuring a smooth and reliable upgrade experience.

The following features and bug fixes are included as a part of the Noxturnal software with this release:

Features new to Noxturnal 7.2.1:

🔹 Support for the Philips LoFlo EtCO₂

• The Philips LoFlo sensor can now be added to online rooms In Noxturnal
• The sensor connects to the USB port on the back of the Nox C1 Access Point
• Can record the end tidal CO2 level and the CO2 waveform

  • Video size limit changed from 2 GB to 5 GB

• Editing step in BioCal in admin mode is not saved
• Bio Calibration steps in reversed order
• Playback speed is double in split-screen view
• Events in Overview sheet multiply
• EDF Somnostar scaling issue - leg signals were a flat line
• Eject not working with /device in CLI
• SAS sleep staging detector events were scored on top of Nox Bodysleep
• Report fixes: 
  • Refresh button in report does not refresh interpretation notes
  • Blank page in report after bookmark is removed and report is refreshed
  • Extra lines required before footers in a custom report
  • Dropdowns and custom charts not working in Word if created in older version of TxTextControl
  • Not possible to save reports with pap tables in Word after editing
• Nox Connect fixes: 
  • Submitting a cloud recording silently fails if recording includes a report that was generated in previous session

Upgrade Recommendation and Workarounds for Nox Users

Noxturnal Upgrade Wizard

Noxturnal 7.2.1

Noxturnal 7.2.1 has a built-in upgrade wizard for all users upgrading from 5.X or 6.X versions of Noxturnal. This upgrade wizard prompts the user with selections on whether they want to upgrade with their old settings as part of the installation procedure or if they want a fresh installation.

Upgrading from Noxturnal US 6.X.X

The Upgrade wizard will pop up with information on whether the user wants to maintain old user settings or if they want a fresh installation.

Upgrading from version 5.x or older

If upgrading in the US market from a version 5.X or older, consider the upgrade instructions here.

Older Noxturnal Versions

If users are working on an older version of Noxturnal (3.X and 4.X), it is recommended to do a fresh installation and setup of the software since so many things have changed in recent releases and updating on top will create more problems than it solves.
